Confidentiality

Data collected by me is never shared with any third parties, including marketing agencies, other clients, or customers or the business without written authorization from the client except where limited by law. If I am subpoenaed or otherwise compelled by a court of law to share client information, I will legally comply with the court of law.

Data retention

As part of the proposal process, I may collect sensitive data on the business. If the business signs a contract, I will retain data until seven (7) years after the contract date ends unless the client signs a written authorization to delete the data earlier. If the business does not sign a contract, I will retain data for thirty (30) days after the client has last contacted me. Proposals will be retained for a period of three (3) years. Documents may be deleted earlier at the written request of the client

Illegal Activities

I will not provide services to any businesses that are conducting illegal activities. I will not knowingly cover up illegal activities or fail to comply with applicable laws and restrictions, including court subpoenas. If a business KNOWLING participates in an illegal activity that could put my business and/or reputation at risk, I reserve the right to terminate the relationship immediately. If a business UNKNOWINGLY participates in an illegal activity but takes steps to rectify the situation, I will continue the client relationship or terminate within the agreed upon notice period.

Excluded industries

I do not provide services for the following industries:

  • Manufacturers or retailers whose primary product is tobacco
  • Cannabis suppliers or dispensaries for recreational use
  • Organizations that are largely affiliated with a religious group, defined as the following:
    • Churches, synagogues, or other houses of worship
    • Primarily selling religious items or symbols
    • Receiving 50% or more of revenue from a religious organization
    • Organizations that use religious affiliation as a primary marketing strategy
  • Political organizations or individuals running for political office
  • Organizations whose mission is primarily based on a political position

I will provide services in the following instances:

  • Retailers who sell tobacco products consisting of 10% or less of their overall revenue
  • Suppliers or retailers who sell Cannabidiol (CBD) products, provided they do not also sell pure cannabis products for recreational use
  • Suppliers or retailers who sell cannabis products exclusively for medical use (no recreational use)
  • Retailers or organizations who incidentally sell religious items or symbols
    • Example: a jewelry retailer who sells items with the Star of David or a Crucifix
  • Restaurants who serve food based upon religious dietary needs, even if this is their primary business
    • ex. Kosher markets
  • Organizations that previously were affiliated with a religious organization but are no longer affiliated
  • Other instances at my discretion

I also reserve the right to refuse service to businesses whose services conflict with my personal values.

My services are business-to-business, and my expectation is that both I and my clients will behave in a professional manner. I also strive to provide a kind and welcoming atmosphere. Therefore, I will not discriminate based on the personal beliefs or characteristics of my clients, including:

  • Race
  • Sex
  • Age
  • Nationality/country of origin
  • Religious affiliation
  • Disability status

Legal Matters

I hope for a fruitful relationship with all of my clients; however, should a legal dispute arise, they shall be settled in the state of Maryland.
